The 2009 Bethesda Little League 9/10 All Stars

The 9/10 All Stars team finished 3rd place (4-2 record) out of 15 leagues in District 7

Bethesda LL is in Md. District 7 which is the biggest district (15 leagues) in our state. District (GAMES) play is June 26 -July 2 for the 9/10 age group and July 10 - 17 for the 11/12 age group. Second stage of play is at the state level (Md. State tourney is July 17-22 for the 9/10 year olds and July 24 - 30 for the 11/12 year olds). Third stage is Regional level (August 6 - 16 in Bristol, Conn) and the final stage is Williamsport (Aug 15th-25th) and the LLWS. Both Regional games and Williamsport games will be televised on ESPN this year. You have to win each level or stage to advance. At the lowest levels of play, most tourneys are either pool play or double elimination. Our district tourney is double elimination.
